Tires, Wheels and What Have You – Moving Forward by Dana Marcel
June 20, 2023

Our world, Farming, Trucking, Machinery, Mining and so much more moves on tires and wheels.  Without them, we would be in dire straits and really not nearly so advanced as we are today.

My grandfather was born in a Covered Wagon in Texas.  Imagine the wagon wheels that carried his family across the country.  They were made of wood and reinforced with steel or iron.  Accidents were many and so much could and did go wrong.  Somehow, they made it and those wagon wheels were the forerunners of our tires and wheels of today.

The current technology has made tires and wheels and the associated parts and tools irreplaceable for our world industry.  They have evolved to fit specific needs in so many different areas.

Be it industry, casual entertainment such as, Motorcycling, cycling, boating, auto rentals or golf carts, we all need transportation.  Not just in our country but around the world.

Do you travel either for business or just living your every-day life?  It used to be that everyone lived close to grocery or farms.  We gathered close to one another so we could all benefit from the small town near us.  Today we have cars, trucks, tractors, semi-tractor transportation.  We are not so tied to a specific area.  We can move anywhere we choose.  How many people like to be out away from traffic and noise.  Our early ancestors did not have that option.

We are so fortunate today, we live where we want and travel to where ever we choose.  In the past, only the very rich had the option to go somewhere warm during winter months.  Now it is quite common to take a vacation in warmer climates.  How many of us become Snow-Birds after retirement.

So much of our lives have been affected by the ability to learn from other cultures, countries, foods and medicines.  We are all improved when we learn from one another.   The United States used to be called a Melting Pot of cultures.  Nearly all of us came from somewhere else.  How many people do you know who are living in the state or region where they were born?  Not many, I am sure.

How did residents get to where they are today?  You can bet transportation was supported by tires and wheels. My husband and I traveled all over the county on our motorcycles.  Not just one, we had eight over the years.  My husband was a heavy equipment operator.  I worked in transportation fleet insurance.  You get to know the transportation industry pretty well that way.

So, I want to offer the best options for tires and wheels and supporting tools and supplies.  I hope you will get to know my website and be comfortable using it.  Please don’t be a stranger.  Come on back, y’all.
